When you imagine a rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Chain Of Fools” you likely picture someone with a mature singing voice and years of experience under their belt. So when 12-year-old Gezel Bardossi lifted the microphone to perform the piece, no one could have expected what followed.
The judges swapped awed glances and exchanges when she began her performance, with Jason Derulo pressing first. The utter shock on his face as his chair turned is simply one for the ages.
Jessica Mauboy was the next to press her button, with equally satisfying shock and amazement painted across her face.
Jessica and Jason continued to glance at one another in utter shock and awe at Gezel’s continued performance. Rita Ora, quickly followed by Guy Sebastian, both pressed almost simultaneously — unable to resist the awe-inspiring performance.
